Beacon sells to job seekers, which means the cycle is short, the feedback is fast, and every experiment is public in the sense that a real person's job search is on the line. The best customers find us when they are in an active search and something is not working.

You would be the first commercial hire. You would work directly with the founders on which channels to build, which segments to prioritize and what the early retention signals actually predict.

What you would own

  • Find the acquisition channels that reach job seekers at the moment they are most motivated: after a rejection, during a career change, or at the start of an active search.
  • Own the funnel from first visit to first completed application, and from first application to a paying plan.
  • Bring the drop-off signals back. Where people stop is the roadmap.
  • Build the playbook the next three hires will use and the attribution model that makes the spend defensible.

What we are looking for

  • Three or more years in growth or user acquisition at a consumer software product, with a number you hit.
  • You are comfortable being the only person running a channel until it works.
  • You understand that job seekers are not a homogeneous group and you have a view about which segments to go after first.
  • You want equity to matter more than base.

How hiring runs

A thirty-minute call with a founder, then a paid work session on a real problem from our backlog (three to four hours), then conversations with two people you would work with. Four steps, usually inside two weeks, and we tell you where you stand at every one.
