Our primary model provider was responding slowly between 18:22 and 18:57 UTC. Tailoring completed but took up to two minutes rather than the usual thirty to forty seconds. The routing layer failed over to the secondary model at 18:39 and latency returned to normal. No applications were lost.

Resolved
A configuration change to the cover letter prompt caused the generation step to time out on applications with very long job posts. Affected roughly 4 percent of applications over a two-hour window. The cover letter step was re-run for affected applications once the issue was identified, and a timeout parameter was added to prevent recurrence.
