Career Content
Senior Career Content Lead
Own what good looks like. Define what a well-tailored resume bullet sounds like, what interview prep actually prepares someone for, and where an AI-generated output crosses from helpful into invented.
- Location
- San Francisco, CA or remote in the US
- Type
- Full time
- Compensation
- $130,000 to $160,000 plus 0.15% to 0.35% equity
When Beacon says a bullet is well-tailored to a role, that claim has to come from somewhere. You own where. You are the person who says 'this sounds like a real answer' or 'this sounds like the model filling space', and you translate that judgment into prompts, evals and product guidance.
This is a content and quality role with a direct product output. You work alongside the engineering team, not separately from it. The line between what the product says and what you say is intentionally thin.
What you would own
- Define and maintain the quality bar for tailored resume output, cover letters and interview prep across the role types and industries Beacon serves.
- Write the rubrics and evaluation sets that let the team measure model output against the bar you set.
- Review model output weekly and file what is wrong, specifically and with examples.
- Set the line the product does not cross: where Beacon rewrites for clarity, and where it must stop because it would be inventing.
- Write content for the blog and help centre that is worth reading on its own.
What we are looking for
- Five or more years as a certified resume writer, career coach, recruiter or university career advisor.
- You have reviewed enough AI-generated resume content to know immediately when something is invented versus rephrased.
- You can write a bullet about a data analyst and a bullet about a kindergarten teacher and both sound like real people.
- You are comfortable being the person who says the product is wrong about this, with the example to back it up.
How hiring runs
A thirty-minute call with a founder, then a paid work session on a real problem from our backlog (three to four hours), then conversations with two people you would work with. Four steps, usually inside two weeks, and we tell you where you stand at every one.
